|"Jacksonville is one of the boldest orange paintings I have ever done. This was the last piece I finished before show at Rosalux Gallery, and I was under a deadline. I thought about softening the orange color field on the bottom half with a more oxide version of the color, but decided to leave the intensity of this layer. I really like the vertical forms on the bottom left-hand side of the painting which almost appear to be figures. I believe the title was inspired by the album Jacksonville City Nights by Ryan Adams."|
